Daniel Caverzaschi, number 1 in Spain, comes back to Valencia Open

Extra activitities for Valencia Open

Valencia Open always been known for being more than a purely sporting event. The goal is to provide different activities for the fans. 

This year the wheelchair tennis will be one of the stars of the tournament with the celebration of National Masters Wheelchair Tennis Valencia Open. The tournament will be held on October 30 and 31 and November 1 and will involve the national top eight players (men): Daniel Caverzaschi, Martin de la Puente, Quico Tur, Roberto Chamizo, Álvaro Illobre, Enrique Sisco, Juan Jose Rodriguez and Jose Coronado, who, despite being No. 9, replaces the injured Martin Varela (number 7). Fan can access with the same ticket that gives access to Centre Court and Court 1.

Another of the most important activities is the 'Valencia Open Young Talents', established for years as one of the most prestigious tournaments in Spain. This year, the qualifying tournaments to play the Masters in Valencia, have been played in Castellón, Zaragoza, Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Segovia, Murcia and Alicante. The eight highest ranked qualified for the Masters will play on October 29 and 30. The final, on November 1. 

'Valencia Open Street Tennis' is a form of tennis for children aged between 4 and 16 years to learn the sport. Juan Carlos Ferrero Foundation, in collaboration with the Valencia Open, is the organizer of the 'Street Tennis'.

Shop fronts competition is another classic of Valencia Open, where businesses that want to participate in Valencia decorate their spaces with tennis ornaments. 

Other traditional parallel activities: Marca Young Talents Circuit (15th to 17th October at the practice courts), National Technical Symposium (18th and 19th at Auditorio Santiago Grisolia and training courts), Street Tennis course (22nd and 23rd at Sala Polivalente) and the official concert Europa FM (at La Rambleta on Friday 30).
