Rafael Izquierdo and Lucía de la Puerta were both victorious at the Valencia Open 500 Young Talents tournament held in Madrid as part of its Tennis City event. In the men’s category, Izquierdo and Sánchez faced each other in the final with victory going to the Galician in two sets, 6-3 and6-1. In the women’s category, De la Puerta, who had already won the final at the Royal Jolaseta Tennis Club in Bilbao, also took just two sets to defeat Celina Montero, 7-6 and6-4.
