Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky had won Feliciano López and Max Mirnyi the doubles in Valencia Open 2015. Butorac and Lipsky had won for 7-6(4), 6-3.

Butorac and Lipsky had explained after the match: "Feliciano and Mirnyi are a very hard team, but we think we have were better. We are so pleased with the match. Now we don't have time for celebrations, just for a glass of champagne in the airport. We have been talking about the next season and we think we can improve and be a very strong team".
