Carlos Gimeno won Masters of ‘Valencia Open Promesas’against Francisco Andreu for 7-5, 6-1. The match was equal in the first set and finally was decides in the second one.
"At the beginning of the match I was nervous but after the 5-5 I could play better and play more relaxed and more confident." the champion said. He also explained that he was so happy for play in this Masters: "Is well organized and have the chance to play in the same place than the proffesional players is so beautiful for us".
Francisco Andreu talked about the champion: "At the beginning I was better but one we were 5-5 he started to play better and I couldn't do anything in the second set". He also explained: "this expirience has been amazing. This kind of tournaments are so important and I am so happy for have this expirience. I hope to come back."
The trophy was given by Juan Olivert, director of ‘Valencia Open Promesas’ and the ex tennis player Javier Sánchez Vicario, who said: "I liked the level I saw. This tournaments are needed for have expirience and play even better".
