Francisco Andreu and Marta Falceto win in Alicante the last ‘Valencia Open Young Talents'

After nine competitions played in different Spanish cities, 'Valencia Open Young Talents' has come to an end. Andreu and Falceto have proclaimed champions during the last qualifying stage for the final prize, which was played these days at the Academy Equelite-Juan Carlos Ferrero. Now everything is ready to know the eight finishers who will play the Masters in the City of Arts and Sciences the same week as professionals (from 26th October to 1st of November).

Francisco Andreu won Andrew Puscas (1-6, 6-4, 6-3) although both players have shown a high level. After the match, Andreu said: "It was a great week, it's my second tournament after win in Valencia and I want to thank my coaches and all the people that helped". Marta Falceto won Clarine Lerby (6-2 3-6 6-3) after a tough match for almost 3 hours. Falceto, very happy after the victory said: "I'm thrilled, I managed to qualify for the Masters in the last tournament and now all I want is to play and do it well". Who also spoke today was Juan Carlos Ferrero, Director of Valencia Open and Equelite: "We are proud to see the level they have shown in each tournament. You have played with enthusiasm, dedication and hope". 

The complete tables with the results of all the matches (Castellón, Zaragoza, Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia, Málaga, Segovia, Murcia and Alicante) and the names of the eight lucky and fortunate to participate in the Masters can be found at official website of the Valencia Open in www.valenciaopen.tennis.
