'Valencia Open Street Tennis' is back!

20 March 2015

The event, which wants to promote tennis among children of 4-16 years, has reached its 3rd year with a double appointment on March 28 in Massanassa and Torrent.

Juan Carlos Ferrero Foundation, in collaboration with Valencia Open, organises the event and the Manager of Valencia Open, Juan Carlos Ferrero, will attend both activities.

The 'Valencia Open Street Tennis' has announced the first two dates for the new circuit. For the first time in history will be held on the same day (March 28), one in the morning (Polideportivo Massanassa, 10am-1pm) and the second in the afternoon (Plaza de la Libertad de Torrent, 5pm-8pm). In addition, there will be other activities throughout the Valencia region. All of them are free for kids.

Juan Carlos Ferrero Foundation, in collaboration with Valencia Open, is once again in charge of organizing the event to promote tennis among children of 4-16 years, as well as encourage a healthy lifestyle and physical exercise.

The director of 'Valencia Open Street Tennis', Juan Olivert, said: "This year we will continue investing in this great project and tennis in the street will be extended to many cities of Valencia. More and more children can enjoy great days of tennis". "The idea which motivates us is the same: no child without tennis. We want this sport reaches all the fans and we want to encourage learning this great sport to the younger, who are the future", he said.

'Valencia Open Street Tennis' is more than sport. The inscriptions are free and the event encourages all those who come to the event to help with 2kg of food for needy families.
