'Valencia Open Young Talents' turns 5 and keeps on expanding throughout Spain
The tournament adds 3 new places in different Spanish cities, which join the ones from last year
The competition, which is aimed at tennis young talents in the children's category, will take place from April to October and it will finish with the Masters at the end of the year
'Valencia Open Young Talents', the best promotion way among young tennis players, reaches its 5th anniversary and celebrates it by expanding the tournament to new different cities around Spain. In this year edition, the tour has 3 new dates in Zaragoza, Málaga and Segovia, which join the previous years locations: Castellón, Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia, Murcia and Alicante. In this way, the tournament will have 9 locations in total and the calendar of the competition will stretch on until October. It is a clear evidence of the event's growth.
After the success achieved since the first edition in 2011, the 'Valencia Open Young Talents' Director Juan Olivert stats passionately that “it is an honour for us celebrating the competition's 5th anniversary and finding out how the event keeps on catching on and strengthening year after year” and he adds: “considering the high participation and the great reception we had in previous editions, we are sure that in this 2015 edition the quality of the young tennis players will be very good and we continue enjoying exciting games and promoting grass roots tennis”.
Valencia Open Young Talents will kick off in 'Club de Tenis de Castellón' on April, 6th. The tournament will move to 'Real Zaragoza Club de Tenis' and will take place between 4 and 10 May. From June 22nd to 28th, 'Real Club Jolaseta de Bilbao' will welcome the competition. The next stop of 'Young Talents' will be played in 'Ciudad de la Raqueta de Madrid' during the week beginning the 13th of July. The tour returns to Valencian territory: from July 20th to 26th young tennis players will play in 'Club de Tenis El Collao de Manises (Valencia)'. The sixth important date will happen in 'Club de tenis de Málaga' from August 27th to 31st. One of the 3 new places, 'Espacio Tierra de Segovia' will be home to 'Valencia Open Young Talents' between August 31st to September 6th. The next stop is September, 7th and the space of choice for the competition is 'Murcia Club de Tenis'. 'Academia EqueliteJuan Carlos Ferrero' in Villena will close the 2015 tournament and the games in Villena will take place between 8-12 October. A year on, as is tradition, once these 9 games have come to an end, the 8 players with the best position in the tournamnet (masculine and feminine category) will compete in the last championship will take place at the en of the year.
The registration process is not already open, but the young tennis player could apply soon on the official Valencia Open webpage. The competition is ruled by Real Federación Española de Tenis regulations. The players could apply to one single tournament or all tournament and in order to get the classification for the 'Masters' it is necessary to play at least in 3 tournaments. The games will be played to the best out of three sets with tiebreak in all three. To participate it is essential to show a valid license. The score for each tournament of the circuit and which entitle the players to be classified for the 'Masters' is 500 points for the winner, 300 for the finalist, 180 for semifinalists, 90 points for quarterfinalists, 45 points for the eight-finalists and 25 points for the ones who do not pass the first round.
