The 'Valencia Open 500 ATP World Tour' has the first big screen today. They will decide the four squares 'qualifier' that will access the main draw. Of the five Spanish players who were in contention only Albert Ramos has managed to win in the first round, beating Inigo Cervantes 6-2 7-6 (4).

Ramos is now facing Britain's James Ward. Never before have crossed in the circuit, although the Spanish come to the meeting with the favorite label to have a much higher ranking (67/110). Another aspiring to have a place in the main draw is Thomaz Bellucci, who faces Richard Berankis.
