Exhibition of Blind Tennis at the Valencia Open 500 ATP World Tour
This year, the Valencia Open 500 ATP World Tour is featuring a special new event: an exhibition of Blind Tennis (tennis for people with visual impairments) which will be held on Sunday 19 October at 16:00 on Court 1. The event, lasting around one hour, will feature players from the Sound Tennis Academy and at the end tennis enthusiasts can also take part and experience for themselves how difficult it is to play tennis without being able to see the ball (they will be blindfolded).
In addition, Fernando Ortega and Paco Verdú, the founders of the Academy, will give a presentation at the International Sports Forum 2014 during the tournament at the City of Arts and Sciences. Later on there will be another exhibition, this time a private one for the delegates at the Forum, on Thursday 23 October at 18:30 on one of the training courts.
